The problem with this mindset is that technology and material have changed a lot in the last 15 years, which is the last time one of our new customers performed a complete audit of their packaging. Solution

As a part of our process, we utilize our ISTA testing lab to perform complete packaging analysis. By running the packaging through a compression test we were able to tell that the box was greatly overbuilt compared to what was required. Our lab worked with our packaging designers to adjust the board grades to what their application needed today – not 15 years ago. By using actual data to make informed decisions, we made their packaging with what we knew would work – not just our best guess.

Results
