Optimizing Print Methods
Challenge
Our customer was selling their food product in a national club store. The box was retail ready packaging that was produced by another vendor using lithographic preprint and shipped cross country. This created logistic and pricing challenges that our customer was growing weary of. That’s where our design and production team stepped in.
Solution
We sampled several of these items and utilized our graphic design team in order to get the packaging to meet flexographic print registration. This allowed us to produce the item locally and skip the higher costs associated with preprint. We ran a trial order to great success.
Results
Our customer reduced production costs and headache associated with long logistics challenges. The graphics they were using translated perfectly to flexographic printing. They now see reduced lead times and saved big! This is an opportunity many similar companies can take advantage of by switching simple litho items to run on a high quality flexo press like our Apstar rotary die cutter.
