Flexography, flexographic printing, or flexo is the most common packaging print method. It is used in most shipping boxes because of its reliability at producing high quantities.
Flexo is a direct print method. It is accomplished by using rubber print plates mounted to cylinders. There needs to be a different print plate for each color in the artwork. The print plates have ink applied to them, then they stamp the design onto the packaging. Flexo is the most consistently used form of printing in corrugated packaging facilities.
Flexo can easily produce tens of thousands of boxes at a time.
Excellent bang for your buck. Flexo can produce high volumes at low prices.
Easy production leads to fast turnaround time.
