Digital printing is the newest form of print used for packaging applications. Fantastic for promotional campaigns and smaller lots not, many see digital as the future.

What is Digital Print?

Picture a digital printer as a much, much larger version of your desktop printer. It works in almost the same way. Thousands of print heads are able to produce graphics by each placing tiny drops of ink onto the substrate. No tooling is required for startup making this a flexible method. All you need to do is upload a digital file of your artwork and send the job through. Although no tooling is required making it extremely useful for small runs, it is not as efficient as flexo or litho at large runs.
